Brief Biography: Peter was born on January 25, 1982, to Jim and Emily Faugstad and was raised on the family farm. He was baptized on Feb. 7, 1982, and confirmed on May 5, 1996, at Scarville Lutheran Church in Scarville, Iowa, where he remains a member. He graduated from Alden-Conger High School in 2000 and Bethany Lutheran College in 2005 with a B. A. in Communication and minors in English and Religious Studies. He was united in marriage to his wife Kristin in June 2007. He looks forward to serving as a pastor someday soon by the grace of God. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” – II Corinthians 1:3-4.
