Brief Biography: Jeffery Merseth was born and raised on a farm in Northern Minnesota in rural Clearbrook, 45 miles NW of Bemidji. He was baptized at Concordia Lutheran Church and he was confirmed at Our Savior’s, in Bagley, MN. He lived there until 1996 when his family moved to Mankato so that his father, Rev John Merseth could take pre-seminary classes and go through three years of seminary training at Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary.
When he moved to Mankato, he attended Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School from 10th-12th grade. Then he attended Bethany Lutheran College and graduated in 2003 with a Business Administration Major. While he was at Bethany he married Megan (Armbrecht) of Colo, IA (20 miles east of Ames). She is on the staff at Bethany Lutheran College and helps Lois Jaeger in the Fine Arts Center. They are the proud parents of one son, Judah who turns one in September 2008. Jeff also assists his class by serving as the class secretary. They are members of Mt Olive Lutheran Church. Jeff enjoys woodworking, gardening, reading, and he is currently working construction part-time as he attends the seminary.
