Brief Biography: Lance Gustav Johnson was born November 11, 1977, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Mark and Sandra Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. He attended Mount Olive Lutheran School from kindergarten to eighth grade, after which he attended Mankato East Senior High School graduating in 1996. He began his college education at Bethany Lutheran College in the Spring semester of 1997 where he received his Associates degree in the Spring of 1999. He returned to college in Fall 2001 at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Wellness in 2004. Since then, he has returned to Mankato, and has become an active member in the Mount Olive congregation. His service to Mount Olive includes being counselor/chaperon to the synods LYA conventions, as a Sunday school and VBS teacher, and as a council member on the Board of Youth and Perish Education. He currently works as a school bus driver for Palmer Bus Service in North Mankato.
