Brief Biography: Samuel Gullixson was born in Minneapolis, MN to Norman and Rebecca Gullixson as the second of 4 children. While he lived in Minneapolis, he attended Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School (WELS). He moved to Cannon Falls, MN during his fifth grade year where he started attending St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and School (WELS). After eighth grade, he attended St. Croix Lutheran High School (WELS) in West St. Paul, MN until his graduation in 1999. He continued his education at Bethany Lutheran College where he received his A.A. in 2001 and his B.A. in Liberal Arts and a minor in Business Administration in 2003. Two weeks after graduation, he moved to Korea for one year to teach English as a Second Language connected with ELS missions. He returned to Mankato for one year and studied his first year of Greek. Then in May of 2005 he again left the country for Chile to teach English for the ELS Mission in Santiago and Linares. In the summer of 2007 he married Anna (nee Norman) and they are currently the dorm parents at Teigen Hall on Bethany’s campus.
