Brief Biography: Sung Gyu (Samuel) was born in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, on April 17th, in 1965 and received infant baptism. He is the youngest of three sons and two daughters. He graduated elementary, middle and high school in Seoul. In 1989, he received a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sogang (Seoul). After graduation, He worked in the electronics field.
In 1995, he entered the KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute Science and Technology) and received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1997. He married Gi Hee on Nov. 2 in 1991 and has two daughters, Olivia (1991) and Jasmin (2000).
